2002 Season - Week 17 (cont)

BUMS Play-Offs

The road to BUMSBowl VII starts here. There are no changes to the rules but to assist Ron here’s how this knock-out tournament works. It’s a head-to-head contest with the highest scorer in each game going through. You must select one QB, one kicker and any FOUR outfield players to play within a budget of $7.5 million using the same player prices as the regular season. (See attached spreadsheet). You can change all players between each round and in each game no more than 2 players can appear in both teams. Please get your teams back to me by 10am on Saturday so we can sort out any swaps needed. Whoever gets their team to me first gets first pick of players to swap, if necessary, so a speedy reply is of the essence. If scores are tied at the end of the games the tie-breaker is the player that scored latest in any game. As always top scoring owner plays lowest and so on, so the Wildcard match ups are as follows:- Gareth v Dave G Phil v Aaron David S v Andy H Wayne v Cheryl Johnny v Mark AP v Marcus Ron v Paul Daz v John Wildcard Schedule In the AFC the champs are Oakland (West 11-5) and Tennessee (South 11-5) with bye weeks & Pittsburgh (North 10-5-1) and NY Jets (East 9-7) playing in the wildcard games at home to Cleveland (9-7) and Indianapolis (10-6) respectively. In the NFC the champs are Philadelphia (East 12-4) and Tampa Bay (South 12-4) with bye weeks & Green Bay (12-4) and San Francisco (10-6) host Atlanta (South 9-6-1) and NY Giants (10-6). BUMS on Seats We’re at Johnny’s on Saturday night from 9pm for the Colts visit to the NY Jets. The second game (Atlanta @ Green Bay) kick’s off at 1am Sunday morning so we will be recording it and getting together at 3pm Sunday afternoon at BUMS HQ for a triple header. The recorded game is followed by Cleveland @ Pittsburgh at 6pm and finally The Giants travel to San Francisco for a 9:30 kick-off. The same viewing plan is in place for the Divisional games on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th January. If that’s not enough football for you then we are at BUMS HQ this Thursday at 6pm to watch the Nokia Sugar Bowl as Florida State Seminoles take on the Georgia Bulldogs.
